Čičković families are frequently Croats and they are mostly from Pleternica area , less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pleternica area and in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanski Samac area). In Šćenica Bobani in East Herzegovina every second inhabitant had the family name Čičković.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Čičković live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Babina Greda in Zupanja area (15), Djedina Rijeka in Pleternica area (10), Zagreb (10), Dubrovnik (10), and in Pozega (<10).
