About 170 people with faimily name Červar live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 80 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 15 other places, mostly in Pula (35), Pazin (20), Novigrad (10), Buzinija (10), and in Kanfanar in Rovinj area (10).

Family name Červar is present in four countries on two continents. The family name "Cervar " is used by small number of people in the United States.
