Čehok families are Croats and they are mostly from Ivanec area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ivanec area and in Varazdin. In Korenjak in Ivanec area every seventh inhabitant had the family name Čehok.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Čehok live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 8 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Sisak (<10), Koprivnica (<10), in Donje Ladanje (<10) and Biljevec (<10) in Ivanec area, and in Karlovac (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1927 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
