Ćudina families are Croats and they are mostly from Trogir area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Trogir area and in Split. In Bristivica in Trogir area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Ćudina.
Prevalence
About 210 people with faimily name Ćudina live in Croatia today, in 100 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Trogir (55), Bristivica in Trogir area (55), Split (35), Pakostane in Biograd na moru area (20), and in Dubrovnik (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
