In Croatia, Ćorda families are predominantly Serbs, rarely Croats (from Jastrebarsko area ), and very rarely Hungarians (from Beli Manastir area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Duga Resa area and in Karlovac. In Krivaja Vojnićka in Duga Resa area every seventh inhabitant had the family name Ćorda.
Prevalence
About 20 people with faimily name Ćorda live in Croatia today, in 10 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in threee Croatian counties and 6 other places, mostly in Radonja (<10), Krivaja Vojnicka (<10), Vojnic (<5) and Kljucar (<5) in Duga Resa area, and in Grabovac in Beli Manastir area (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
