The Directorate of pastoral care for Croatians abroad is a joint office of the Croatian Bishops' Conference and the Bishop's Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which coordinates the activities of 187 Croatian Catholic parishes, missions, communities and centers around the world. They are deployed in a total of 10 regions: Austria, Germany, Scandinavia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Western Europe, Canada, the United States, South America (with South Africa) and the Oceania.
Short history
In 1969, the Bishop's Conference of Yugoslavia founded the Council for Croatian Migration. First president was auxiliary bishop of Zagreb, Josip Lach and the secretary was Vladimir Stankovic. The heir of this council is today's joint council of Croatian Bishop's Conference and Bishop's Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Croatian foreign pastor.
