The ACS is a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of scholarly studies related to Croatia and the Croatians. It is affiliated with the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian studies (ASEEES).
Short history
The ACS was founded in 1977 as a non-profit scholarly organization. As defined in its Constitution, its principal purpose is “to foster closer communication among scholars interested in Croatian studies” and to “promote dissemination of scholarly information on Croatia and Croatians through the organization of meetings, conferences, and panels at conventions devoted to Slavic and East European Studies.”
