Ljubimko Tudor was born to Ante Tudor and Sofija Bon in Baška, on Otok Krk on November 5, 1907. He moved to the United States in 1948 with his family to escape the war. His father, Ante Tudor was born in Velo Grablje on Otok Hvar, who was the son of Ivan "Grande" Tudor and Antica Petrić.  ivan "Grande" Tudor was born in Malo Grablje on Otok Hvar.

Ljubimko went by Ljubo in the United States. He was married in Baška to Bozena Hruska (Hruskova), who came from Kolin, Czech Republic.  They had three children, Alexandar Tudor, Boyana Tudor, and Danilo Tudor, all of whom reside in the United States.
