Hi !

My name is actually Sperneac , but my father - born in 1911 - was registered SPERNJAK .The place where was born is actually in Romania , Banat, jud.Caras-Severin , Bocsa Romana .This is in south-west of Romania,about 50 km north from the actual border between Romania and Serbia. Next to Bocsa-Romana ,in some places,there is a lot of people named Sperneac.

I haven;t clues about the origin of the family,the family name is rare and encountered only next to Bocsa-Romana..There is a strong idea that the family is originally from Serbia/Croatia and was moved in XVIII century in south of Banat .
