Amalia Segon was my grandmother, on my mother´s side. She was born in Porec, Istria, on August 2nd, 1914, just before WW1 started. Her father was a nurse in the war, so she met him when she was 5 years old. She loved learning about places, travelling, she loved plants, and she was a great person. She came to Argentina when she was 23, after her brother, Marco Segon, and her future husband, Juan Lovrinich. They married and lived in the city of La Boca, CABA. I miss you granny....
