Josip Poturica came to America from Croatia via Trieste in early 1900’s. I have his certificate of baptism. He is my grandfather. He married Catherine Bittorie and had three kids, Donald, Mary, Edward. At some time the spelling of the name was changed to Porturica. From Ellis Island he landed in McKeesport PA. He began work in a limestone mine. From there he settled into a quarry company owned town in Martinsburg WV. I am his grandson Michael Joseph Porturica. If you feel we are related reach out.
