Hriberski are NOT croats. Our family is German family, which moved to what you dumb iranians call "croatia" in the mid-17th century. I still have the letter of land grant issued by the local office in the name of the Austrian crown, for the services rendered.

The surname was "slavicised" around the middle of 19th century to dissociate the family from the empire and protect the family from the locals, especially the Hungarians.

The family remained strictly German until the very end of the 19th century. With intermarriages to local women, some members moved south of Krapina.
