Memories: Dropuljić

A Book named "The Day I Found Our Family In Croatia" by Doreena Dropulich Tompkins is all about the journey of her quest to find her Dropuljic' family in Croatia, after both of her great grandparents ( separately ) had left Croatia in the early 1900's to go to the United States Of America.

It was her great grandfather Josip Dropuljic' (Son of Petar & Marta Abaz Dropuljic' ) who left Gornji Prolozac (near Imotski) in 1910 to start a new life in America.

Dropuljic' name changed to the spelling "Dropulich" in the USA to make it more English in the way it was spelled and pronounced.

More than 150 descendants are in America today (2022) because of Joseph Dropulich (Josip Dropuljic') and Rose Gudac Dropulich Union.

Doreena Dropulich-Tompkins traveled to Croatia in 2009 to re-establish the family relationships that had been neglected for over 99 years.  This journey is captured in the book mentioned above.
