My Dropuljici family is originally from Bosnia but ran from the Turks in the early 1600's into Imotski, Croatia region and have been there ever since in the Prolozac Gornji/Donji area outside of Imotski.

I have heard that it was originally 2 Dropuljic' brothers of 3 in Bosnia who fled to Imotski and eventually 1 of those brothers went to the Vrgorac region. My family is from the 1 brother who stayed in Imotski area. The 1 brother who went to Vrgorac region changed spelling of name to Dropulic'. 

There supposedly is a book that mentions these 3 Dropuljic' brothers in Bosnia. I do not know the title of this book.

Many Dropuljic' and Dropulic' left as immigrants to South America, North America, New Zealand, Netherlands and Australia, some in early 1900's, some in 1940's-1950's and some in early 1990's.
