Velo Grablje is located in the City of Hvar, in Split-Dalmatia County at an elevation of 2 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 14.27 km² (5.51 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were only seven inhabitants left. It is entirely populated by Croats. Nearby places: Malo Grablje, Zaraće, Milna, Brusje, Selca kod Starog Grada, Stari Grad, Sveta Nedjelja, Rudina, Hvar and Dol.
