Pješčana Uvala is located in the municipality Medulin, in Istra County at an elevation of 2 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 2.71 km² (1.05 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were 555 inhabitants. It is largely populated by Croats (83%), but also Italians (7%) and Serbs (5%). Nearby places: Vintijan, Vinkuran, Valbonaša, Banjole, Pula, Pomer, Premantura, Jadreški, Štinjan and Medulin.
