Pernat is located in the City of Cres, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County at an elevation of 252 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 12.46 km² (4.81 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were only six inhabitants left. It is entirely populated by Croats. Nearby places: Zbičina, Valun, Lubenice, Mali Podol, Zbišina, Cres, Orlec, Loznati, Vidovići and Stanić.
