Lovinac is located in the municipality Poličnik, in Zadar County at an elevation of 102 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 11.08 km² (4.28 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were 275 inhabitants. It is entirely populated by Croats. Nearby places: Visočane, Poličnik, Radovin, Rupalj, Dračevac Ninski, Suhovare, Jovići, Islam Latinski, Krneza and Slivnica.
