Gornji Šajn is located in the municipality Brod Moravice, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County at an elevation of 570 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 2.92 km² (1.13 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were only 11 inhabitants. It is entirely populated by Croats. Nearby places: Klepeće Selo, Donji Šajn, Goliki, Donji Šehovac, Gornji Šehovac, Podgorani, Šimići, Šimatovo, Donja Lamana Draga and Zavrh.
