Donja Šumetlica is located in the City of Pakrac, in Požega-Slavonia County at an elevation of 260 meters above sea level and it covers the area of 3.92 km² (1.51 sq. miles). According to the 2011 census report, there were only six inhabitants left. It is entirely populated by Serbs. Nearby places: Španovica, Dragović, Gornji Grahovljani, Gornja Šumetlica, Kričke, Branešci, Cicvare, Lipovac, Srednji Grahovljani and Brusnik.
