Mujagić families are mainly Bosniaks and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region (Bosnia), whereas often Croats (also from Cazinska Krajina Region , Bosnia). According to some sources the family name originates from Anatolia, Turkey. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bosanska Krupa area) and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Velika Kladusa area). In Mihatovići in Tuzla Region (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Mujagić.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Mujagić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (70), Zadar (20), Sisak (15), Rijeka (10), and in Mali Losinj on the Island of Losinj (10).

Family name Mujagić is present in 21 countries worldwide. The family name "Mujagic " is used by some 200 people in Germany , about 200 in the United States , and some 100 people in Thailand.
