Kramarić families are Croats and they are mostly from Glina area. According to some sources the family name originates from Zagorja. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Sisak. In Staro Selo Topusko in Glina area every ninth inhabitant had the family name Kramarić.
Prevalence
About 1300 people with faimily name Kramarić live in Croatia today, in 530 households. There were 1400 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 60 cities and 152 other places, mostly in Zagreb (315), Sisak (50), Viskovci in Djakovo area (35), Osijek (35), and in Rijeka (25).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over fifty times, the first time 1691 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
