Obitelj Vekić iz Ervenika kraj Knina u Dalmaciji radila je DNK test preko komercijalne kompanije Family Tree DNA. Pripadamo Y-DNK haplogrupi I2a-PH908 (finalni SNP je za sada Y81557). Nadam se da će druge obitelji s ovim prezimenom kad tad napraviti neki od komercijalnih DNK testova. Možemo kasnije usporediti rezultate testiranog Y kromosoma i utvrditi dijelimo li zajedničkog pretka po muškoj liniji.

The Vekić family from Ervenik near Knin, Dalmatia did a DNA test via FamilyTreeDNA. We belong to the Y-DNA haplogroup I2a-PH908 (final SNP Y81557). I hope that other families with this surname will do some of the commercial DNA tests at some point. We can compare the results of the tested Y chromosome and determine whether we share a common paternal ancestor.
