On December 24, 1834, Karlo Potočnjak, his son Anton and Blaž Bačić, residents of Bag (Karlobag) returning home from the island of Pag in a small boat, drowned in the sea at the so-called Pažka Vrata channel because of the strong jugo wind.

It is also worth mentioning that three years ago, around the same date in 1831, three young men from Karlobag named Ivan Lukšetić, Anton Verban and Miho Lenac, died in the same way in the same place.
