I have a friend here in the UK, whose name is Nicholas Krainc, now in his early 60's.  It seems that his father, a Josef Krainc, came to England from Croatia as a young man, in 1948, where he lived for the rest of his life, and worked in the early days as a miner.  His son, Nick, said that he never mentioned his former life in Croatia, no doubt because of the manner in which he was forced to leave the country, which must have been a source of great sorrow, i.e. the Russian occupation.

Because I have some experience in tracing my family history, I'm helping Nick look into his, as I'm sure that he must have some living relatives back in Croatia.  I will get more details of names, dates, etc, along with photos I've seen, plus his Croation ID card, and put them on this web-site soon.
